There was no surprise in Moca where 8th rankedLeones (5-11) were defeated by third ranked Heroes (9-6) 120-111 on Wednesday. Heroes looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Kevin Obanor (203-1999, college: Texas Tech) who led his team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Caleb Huffman (193-2000, college: Nicholls) helped adding 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was naturalized American Angel Gerardo Suero (196-1989, college: Albany) with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) and American guard Reggie Quezada (190, college: USAO) scored 21 points. Four Heroes and five Leones players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Heroes have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Heroes maintains third place with 9-6 record having four points less than leader Indios. Leones lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost.
